Fees

FROM TERM ONE 2011

·    Attendance Dues:                   All pupils     $355.56 per term

·    Boarding Fee:                                    All boarders  $2295.00 per term

Optional Donations

·    Activity Fee:                                        All pupils         $50.00 per term

·    Proprietors Levy:                               All pupils     $54.75 per term

·    Parents and Friends Assn Levy: Per family $10.00 per term

Fee Concessions

A rebate of 10% for the second brother, and 20% for the third and sub­sequent brothers is deducted from boarding fees. There is no rebate available for other fees.

Disbursement Deposit

The college operates a Disbursement Deposit Account for pupils to cover items of incidental expenditure during the term. This is charged at the entry of each new pupil to the college, and refunded when the pupil leaves the college. Initial deposits for new entrants are currently:

Boarders:          $150.00             Day boys:        $75.00

Additional Boarding Charges:

Except for incidentals there are no additional boarding charges. Boarders are provided with a comprehensive medical examination and regular medical attention throughout the year. The medical fee and linen charges are included in the boarding fee.

Attendance Due:

The Attendance Due is charged each term, and in terms of the Integration Agreement completed in 1989, is used to cover such items as mortgage repayments and interest, rates, insurance and school building development required to maintain the college to state building codes.

Donations

Activity Fee:

The Activity Fee is a donation. This covers the costs of all or part of the following: class materials; sports pro­grammes, provincial and national sports entry and affiliation fees, activities week, pupils’ handbooks, visits or performances by visiting artists undertaken by the whole school; and any other activity that the Board of Trustees considers reasonable.

 

Proprietors’ Levy:

This too is a donation, used to fund capital development and mainte­nance of assets not covered by the Ministry of Education. These funds provide for maintenance of the chapel and other non-integrated buildings, together with supporting items and activities which comprise the “Special Character” of tions to assist the Board of Trustees in their operation.

Parents and Friends Association Donation:

This optional donation is charged each term, and forwarded to the Parents and Friends.  It is augmented by proceeds from the annual fete, and returned to the College to help with special projects and initiatives.

Optional donations have no GST payable and parents may include these payments as a taxation rebate, depending on an individual’s tax position.

Incidental Expenses

Sports Activities:

Some sports codes have affiliation fees for players - other codes may have their particular costs. These extra costs will be charged to parents and may include an administration charge.

 

Other Payments- including costs for certain materials, visiting groups, projects, trips, camps etc will be charged to parents and this may sometimes include an administration charge.
