We want our boarders to be strong, independent individuals and we hope they will learn to enjoy solitude and use it resourcefully. But they also live in communities, such as their families and school. We want them to be able to function effectively in such communities, to learn to get along with others and to practise courtesy and co-operation.
Above all we want our boarders to become men of character, knowing right from wrong, having the courage to stand - alone if necessary - for what they believe is right and willing to use their influence for the good of others.
Our fervent hope is that McGlashan graduates will be men of integrity and conviction.
