Hostel Life- Matron's message

Thank you for sharing your son with us.

Enclosed in this booklet is a medical form and clothing list with all your son's requirements for boarding. Also it tells you how and where to sew on nametags etc. We do insist on woven name tags that are sewn on. An order form will be available on orientation day.

Our school doctor is Dr Peter Borrie, an old boy of the school. Therefore he has a special interest in our boarders. He visits the boarding house at 8 am, usually Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Fridays and as required at other times. His address is; Roslyn Medical Centre, 271 Highgate. Telephone 477-6471.

When your son finishes primary school you will be sent a Dental Benefit form to be completed and sent to the dentist of your choice. It is preferable you have a Dunedin dentist arranged for your son before he starts here. Pitt Street Family Dental Care are dentists that many boys use and they are prepared to look after new boarders' dental requirements.

We have a contracting physiotherapist and radiologist. All routine x-rays are taken at Mercy Hospital. We have an arrangement with the local hairdresser and haircuts are put on your son's account. If at any time I can be of any assistance do not hesitate to contact me. A message can be left for me on my answer phone - Phone 467-6632 or Cellphone 021 467-663.
