What do boarders do in the weekend? A lot of sport is played on Saturday mornings and afternoons. Your game may be at McGlashan or you may travel to another ground in Dunedin or Mosgiel.

Saturday afternoon can be a chance to follow your own interests. Boys sometimes go to Moana Pool for a swim or a run around the Ross Creek Reserve. Others like to find a sunny spot and read or play board games. Golf is also available at Balmacewen Golf Course most Sundays. The cricket nets, fives courts, tennis courts and corner patch are always available. Boys can also use the weight room and the gym. Video games and DVDs in rooms are on the increase, sometimes to the detriment of activity.

Saturday evening is often spent watching television, video or going to a social.
