Mr. Neil Garry - Principal

M.Ed. (Distinction), Dip. P.E., Dip Tchg.

Mr Garry is a long serving member on the John McGlashan College staff. He started working as Head of the Physical Education department and quickly moved to more senior responsibilities. Mr Garry took up the post of principal in January 2014.

During his time at the college he has held senior leadership roles in both the boarding house and school and has had a powerful influence on sport, outdoor education, curriculum development and cultural activities.

His focus is on creating and maximising opportunities for every student.

He applies a common sense approach and engenders mutual respect within the student body. He finds McGlashan an inspiring place to work and he has much to offer!

International Trip to Doubtful Sound 2019

Doubtful Sound is a beautiful place. There are majestic waterfalls and grander mountains all viewed in a luxurious boat slowly sailing through wonderful Fiordland.
