Mr Garry is a long serving member on the John McGlashan College staff. He started working as Head of the Physical Education department and quickly moved to more senior responsibilities. Mr Garry took up the post of principal in January 2014.
During his time at the college he has held senior leadership roles in both the boarding house and school and has had a powerful influence on sport, outdoor education, curriculum development and cultural activities.
His focus is on creating and maximising opportunities for every student.
He applies a common sense approach and engenders mutual respect within the student body. He finds McGlashan an inspiring place to work and he has much to offer!
On Friday the 3rd of August, all the international students in Dunedin were invited to the town hall to be formally welcomed by the Mayor, Dave Cull.

On the 10th of August, the international department along with some Kiwi students departed for Glendhu bay.

This year, for the first time, languages week ended with the International Food Day.

On Monday 12th March we welcomed the Ichikawa High School Group in true McGlashan style. The group of 22 students (10 boys and 12 girls) arrived on a sunny Dunedin day and were greeted with an awesome Haka perfomance from the Hostel Boarders and our school piper - Qwenton McKenzie.
