Three McGlashan Alumni are presenting shows at this year's festival!
As Dunedin Fringe returns for 2025 - it's wonderful to see a healthy dose of McGlashan 'old' boys entering shows in the programme.
Those who attended last year's cultural celebration will recognise a familiar face in comedian Tama Alexander, who returned to JMC to MC the night. Tama is holding two shows at the festival - the first is 'A Regular Show' - an absurd comedic sketch show with fellow comedian Craig Westenburg.
Check out the event on the Fringe website here - we'll be hosting Tama and Craig in the JMC Drama Room on 14th and 15th March. With limited capacity, you'll want to get tickets early!
Tama is also bringing his third solo show 'Dropout' to the Playhouse on 20-22 March - check it out on the Fringe website here.
James Mustapic is returning home for his new show 'All Good if Not' - a brand new hour of multi-media comedy (with his mum Janet!) on 13th-15th March at Te Whare o Rukutia. Check it out here.
And those with keen eyes may have seen a familiar name in Sam Leaper. He's a professional musician, composer, arranger, sound engineer and a top bloke - he's even been back to judge our school singing competitions for the last few years! Sam will be playing the music for An Iliad alongside actor Max Beal - 13-16 March at the Playhouse.
And it's not just our ex-students who are represented - our previous Arts Coordinator Reva Grills is also going to be there with her production company Grammelot Productions for their show 'NO NO NO' - "a sci-fi dark comedy exploring what we both create and destroy in the people we love[d]."
'NO NO NO' will be held at the Globe theatre 20-22 March.
Here's looking forward to an epic Dunedin Fringe 2025 - chock full of ex-McGlashan talent!
