Director of Rugby

With strong participation in rugby across all year levels at McGlashan we are happy to welcome applications for the Director of Rugby role. The Director of Rugby will provide overall leadership and coordination across the College’s rugby programme from Year 7 to Year 13. The role involves:

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the structure, planning, and delivery of rugby across all grades
• Support and mentor coaches, managers, and student leaders
• Develop alignment in playing style, training, and player development pathways
• Coordinate pre-season planning, fixtures, and community connections
• Build positive relationships with parents, Alumni, and local rugby bodies
• Promote a culture that reflects McGlashan's values 
   

The ideal candidate will:

• Demonstrate strong communication and leadership skills
• Bring enthusiasm, initiative, and a collaborative approach
• Value participation and wellbeing alongside performance
• Have experience in rugby (or other relevant code) coaching, coordination, and/or development roles
