Our first-ever Southern Arthouse Tour was a resounding success! This event was brought to life through the tireless efforts of our dedicated committee, who have worked together over the past 18 months to plan and perfect every detail. With representatives from both the John McGlashan College Parents and Friends Association and the Columba College Parents’ Association, the 2024 committee joined forces to create an unforgettable day, which we anticipate will become a staple in the Otago art scene for years to come.
We owe our gratitude to so many who made this event possible. Heartfelt thanks go out to the homeowners who graciously opened their doors, allowing us the privilege of displaying curated artwork in such unique and beautiful spaces. A special thanks to the talented artists whose pieces brought each home to life, and to the volunteers who gave their time and energy to ensure the day ran smoothly. Additionally, we are deeply grateful to our sponsors—Viridian Glass, Andrew Simms Dunedin, Stonewood Homes, Bayleys, and Zuma—whose support helped bring our vision to life. Last but certainly not least, we thank the staff and administration of both John McGlashan and Columba Colleges for their support in helping us bring this event to fruition.
Our thanks also go to The Dunedin Club for generously allowing us to utilize their heritage venue and picturesque grounds, enhancing the event with their beautiful surroundings.
The funds raised from the Southern Arthouse Tour will be divided between the two schools, supporting the ongoing efforts of the John McGlashan Parents and Friends Association and the Columba College Parents’ Association.
As visitors explored the exceptional homes and admired the curated artwork, we hope they discovered pieces they’ll cherish for years to come. Thank you to everyone who attended and supported our first Southern Arthouse Tour, and we look forward to seeing you again next year!
Warm regards,
The Southern Arthouse Tour Committee
