We're looking for Pipers, Drummers and Committee Members keen to support our Scottish Heritage.
Students and parents at McGlashan alike will have heard the familiar sound of the bagpipes drawing us all together. Whether it be at a mihi, formal assembly, prize giving or the annual fete, our pipers are there to welcome the boys and their whānau wholeheartedly.
Joining the pipe band is a great way to get involved with representing the proud Scottish Heritage we have at McGlashan and in Dunedin in general. Dunedinites of all ages agree that the sound of a pipe band reminds them of home! Our local City of Dunedin Pipe Band even get to play the Highlanders on to the field - so there is plenty to work towards for students who want to take things to another level outside school.
If your boy is keen to don the tartan and play drums or pipes this year, we'd love to have them join the crew. We're also looking for parents to help as committee members with things like uniforms and organisation.
