Fifteen Year 9 & 10 Boys Take on Challenge Wanaka with fantastic Parental Support

Challenge Wanaka

Set against the breathtaking alpine scenery of New Zealand’s Southern Alps and the Te Wahipounamu World Heritage Area, Challenge Wanaka is known as one of the world’s toughest and most honest middle-distance triathlon courses. It’s also New Zealand’s largest triathlon festival, welcoming over 2,500 participants, 10,000 spectators, and a global audience of millions.

Otago Secondary School Triathlon Champs

While taking part in Challenge Wanaka, our boys were also competing in the Otago Secondary Schools Triathlon Championships, with fantastic results:

• Travis Winterbourne: 2nd place in the U14 Individual

• Ruan Hamman, Angus Hollows & Eddie Weir: 2nd place in the U16 Boys team event

• Moss Wilson, Forbes Mackay & Mayson Kingi: 1st place in the U14 Boys team event

A big thank you to all the parents who assisted with transportation, tent setup, and marshalling. Your support made the day run smoothly and helped our athletes excel.
