Come along to support the boys performing their original music!
We've made it to May, which means it's one of my favourite months of the year - New Zealand Music Month. JMC will be coming alive with original music as Mr McNulty and I will be organising student performances each Friday lunchtime.
One of the big highlights of the month is always RockQuest, where students from around the country are invited to perform their own original music on the big stage for their peers, friends and whānau.
The 2025 RockQuest heats will take place at the Taieri College Performing Arts Centre next Saturday, May 10th.
We have a whopping seven entries from our students this year, so make sure to keep an eye out for these acts on the schedule:
Artie Sweetman (Solo)

Deaf Raccoon - Leo Hill, Chris Body, Jamie Bradfield
Quantum Croissants - Roger Zheng, Amos Pettigrew, Leo Yan, Alex Lewis
Toebeans - Toby Spalding, Oscar De Pelsemaeker
Yellow Snow - Lucas Hale, Theo Richards, Max Smith, Oscar Kissel, Ollie Brown
Adam is also entering his own solo via video entry.
If these names are anything to go by, we're set for a wild ride - we're thrilled to see a good helping of both repeat entries and first-timers.
