Rowers - Led by South Island Team Captain Matt and stroked by Angus the South Island beat the North Island in the annual inter-island row competition. Next term there will be an introduction learn to row program where anyone can come down to the club and get on the water and give the amazing sport of rowing a go.

The Tramping Club was out and about with Rogaine at Bendigo Station last weekend. Rogaining is an orienteering sport of long-distance cross-country navigation involving both route planning and navigation between checkpoints using a variety of map types. A great chance to get into some of the hidden spots of NZ. Good to see some of the boys stepping up to the 12hr challenge and Mcglashan staff members also competing in the 12 and 6 hr races.

Otago Volleyball - McGlashan boys Hamish, Nic, John, Isaac and Tate competed for Otago in the Lower South Island U19 and U17 Volleyball Tournament in Timaru.

Serge Meeuws has represented Otago at the NZ U16 Rugby League 9’s tournament in Auckland.

Rugby - We have about 170 rugby players this year over 8 teams which is magic. 21 coaches and 5 managers. We are still looking for more players, especially in the year 9 teams.

Bball - over 200 boys playing at school. Bball Otago has 89 teams in the local boys comp, and we make up 20 of those, plus 5 yr 7/8 teams. Bball Otago have been fantastic to work with, and I appreciate them helping me out this year.

Hockey - We have around 120 boys playing in six secondary teams and two year 7&8 teams. We are very grateful to have 24 volunteers involved in running our teams, including eight senior students. Last year, we won all four local secondary divisions and we are aiming for a repeat this year. The 1st XI, 2nd XI and U15A teams will again all be attending national tournaments where we are aiming for high placings.

Football - we have about 45 boys playing this year. If anyone else would like to play football it is not too late to sign up.

Badminton good increase in numbers, from 10 playing last year to 22 players this year - David Song is doing a fantastic job of helping out - he has been actively involved since year 9 - 4 years which is very impressive
