The John McGlashan College School Board, in conjunction with the Board of Proprietors, is delighted to announce the appointment of Dr. Aaron Columbus as Principal.
Aaron comes to us from Wellington College, where he is currently Deputy Principal - Teaching and Learning. Prior to his appointment at Wellington College, he was living, studying and working in England. Aaron is a values-driven and forward-thinking school leader and academic.
Hailing from the Teviot Valley, Aaron has a unique understanding of our boarders and where their hearts lie. Aaron will be joined in Dunedin by his wife and daughter and together they are looking forward to more time back in the Teviot.
Aaron is excited by the prospect of leading John McGlashan forwards, building on its historical and current trajectory and positively impacting the lives of the students and the wider community.
Aaron will join McGlashan at the beginning of Term 4, 2025. We have no doubt that he will make a meaningful and impactful contribution to the lives of our students and the wider John McGlashan community.
