Get Ready to Win Big: The Fete Raffle is Back!
The Fete Raffle is one of the most exciting events at John McGlashan High School, and for a good reason. Last year's raffle raised an impressive $21,100!
Led by coordinators Ying Walton and Jane Rimmer, the 2023 Raffle team is already hard at work, with support from Michelle Hollard and Lee Maher, last year's coordinator. According to Lee, curating prize packages and getting feedback from winners were the most enjoyable aspects of the 2022 Raffle.
This year's raffle will run in Term 2, and you'll shortly receive a letter about the 2023 Raffle process. The team is looking for donations, and they're particularly interested in prizes such as accommodation vouchers, firewood, meat packs, helicopter or plane flights, and vouchers for family experiences like fishing trips.
If you can help out, please contact the team at jmcpfa@gmail.com to discuss potential donations.
JMC Fetes have raised over $540,000 since 2013, supporting improved education, social and wellbeing activities, sports and recreation, and arts and culture for our boys and their school. With your continued support, they can make an even greater difference.
Mark your calendars – this year's Fete is on Saturday 9 September. You can start dropping donations off at the Fete Garage (next to the boarding hostel) from 1 June. The first non-uniform day for book donations is on Friday 9 June. And if you're interested in signing up as a Fete volunteer, sponsor, or donor, please contact the Fete team at jmcpfa@gmail.com. Let's make this year's Fete the best one yet!
