Looking for a fun, welcoming space where you can think on your feet, laugh out loud, and build confidence? Come check out the JMC Improv Club, open to all students from Years 7 to 13, every Wednesday in the Drama Room!

Improvisation, or “improv,” isn’t just about being funny (though you will definitely laugh!). It’s a powerful way to develop quick thinking, teamwork, public speaking skills, and creative expression. Whether you're interested in acting or just want to boost your confidence in everyday life, improv has something to offer.

Every week, students at JMC dive into exciting games and challenges that encourage spontaneity and collaboration—all in a low-pressure, high-energy environment. No scripts, no pressure—just creativity and connection. It is also great to see our senior students (and Improv Captain Reid Penwarden) connecting with our younger students and collaborating with them in a fun and exciting way.

Why join the Improv Club?

  • Build confidence in speaking and performing

  • Improve communication and listening skills

  • Make new friends across year levels

  • Have fun and let your imagination run wild

No experience needed—just bring your curiosity and a willingness to try something new.
