Moana Nui Festival

This Saturday March 29th 10:00am-3:30pm, Pacific Trust Otago are holding Moana Nui Festival at Forsyth Barr Stadium! A day of vibrant Pacific culture, music, dance, and food - this one-of-a-kind event celebrates the rich heritage and traditions of the Pacific Islands, bringing together communities for an unforgettable experience.

The festival is koha entry so if you are looking for something to do with the family this weekend, make sure to check it out!

Music Writing for Toi Oho (DCC Newsletter)

The DCC's Arts and Culture team, Ara Toi - have invited young music writers to express their interest in writing articles for the New Zealand Music Month edition of their Toi Oho newsletter.

Check out the article in Toi Oho for more details on how to apply - expressions of interest are due by the end of the day on Monday 31st March.

Dunedin Arts Festival

The festival began on Wednesday 26th March and runs through until the 6th of April!

There’s scintillating circus, thought-provoking theatre, mesmerising music, delicious dance and more — something to appeal to everyone’s appetite! The richly varied programme will thrill, entertain and challenge, with shows from places as far-flung as Canada, Austria, the United Kingdom and Australia, as well as world-class acts from Aotearoa New Zealand and our very own Ōtepoti Dunedin.

SGCNZ Shakespeare Festival 2025

The boys have been practicing hard on their scene from Taming of the Shrew and we are looking forward to sharing their performance with you!

The Otago Regional Festival will take place on Thursday 3rd April 2025 at the King's and Queen's Performing Arts Centre, 270 Bay View Road Dunedin.

John McGlashan will be performing in session 3 at 1pm, and selected groups will perform as part of the evening showcase from 6-7:30pm. Both the daytime sessions and evening showcase are open to the public - door sales are $10 for adults and $5 for students. We hope to see you there to support the boys!

National Youth Art Award

The National Youth Art Award, held annually by the Waikato Society of Arts is open to all New Zealand Visual Artists aged 13 to 23 years old in any medium.

We're keen to see as many of our young artists as possible putting their work forward at the national level, whether it's photography, painting, sculpture or anything else!
