Cyber Safety with John Parsons - Week 9

Tuesday 24th March 2026

Welcome to the Week 9 edition of Cyber Safety with John Parsons. This week John takes a look at: Screen time

It is important that families put clear boundaries in place when it comes to devices, not just for our kids, but for everyone in the home to follow.

SCREEN TIME (click to watch).

Mealtimes are the perfect starting point for allocating 'screen-free' time. Some examples for family mealtimes are:

1) Turn of all noise pollution, TV, radio and turn the phones to silent

2) Ask boys to help prepare food and set the table

3) Allocate time after eating and sit with them and simply be with each other

4) Ask each person about a challenge they faced in the last week and how they dealt with it

5) Ask each person about an act of kindness they witnessed or experienced and how it made

them feel
