Principal's Values Recognitions: 11 February

Thursday 12th February 2026

This week in assembly, we recognised Year 13s who lived the values at their leadership camp, as nominated by their year-group peers. We also recognised three other students who were nominated by Mrs Gradwell, our Sports Coordinator.

Year 13s

Hugo M (Excellence)

Hugo lived our value of Excellence throughout the Year 13 camp. His peers noted how he pushed himself to his limits, and via that effort, excelled at the different activities. Hugo showed grit and discipline and did not give up during the adventure race.

James K (Respect)

James lived our value of respect during the leadership camp. His peers shared that he was constantly motivating those around him to keep going, particularly during the adventure race. James worked to uphold the mana of everyone in the group.

Geordie M (Manaakitanga)

Geordie lived our value of Manaakitanga each day at the leadership camp. His peers report that he was accepting and inclusive of all group members. He displayed great leadership during the adventure race by uplifting others when some were finding things to be a challenge.

Other recognitions, all for Manaakitanga

Oliver S (Y12), Will R (Y11), and Jakob N (Y11)

Oliver, Will, and Jakob gave up their lunchtime to come and help run the Year 9 competitive Futsal trials and to support Mr Kotkamp. They were incredibly helpful and respectful, showing genuine leadership potential with the younger boys. They gave up their own lunch time to support staff, and their attitudes were outstanding.
