More sporting success for our boys!

Ice Hockey

A sanctioned international ice hockey tournament is being held in Queenstown from 12th-16th October. Congratulations to Aidan Dougherty and Billy Sheard who have been invited to participate in this event.  The competition will feature a number of teams travelling from Australia and through-out New Zealand.

Hockey

Marcus Beagley, Sam Clulee, Billy Sheard, Daniel Thom and Hugh Jenkins have been selected into the Under-15 Otago A Team

Oliver Bachop, Angus Cotton, Lucas Dickinson and Jake South have been selected into the Under-15 Development squad

Billy Ellwood, Alex Wilson and Oscar Lobb have been selected in the Under-13A Hatch Cup

Max Wolf, Tevita Schaaf and William Cotton have been selected in the Under-13 Otago Development Hockey Team

Rugby

Callum White and Dominic Morrison have been named at no.6 and no.7 respectively for Otago Rugby Reps U65kg.

Aaron Jones, Callum White, Max Wolf, Jacob Yee and Dom Morrison have been selected into the U65kg Metro Rugby Team.

Aaron Jones has also been selected for the Under-12 Metro Rugby Team.

Jacquan Mapusua has been selected in the U38KG Otago Metro Rugby Team.

Boxing

Alex Hanan recently defeated the New Zealand Youth Commonwealth Games representative (Keegan Keegan O’Kane-Jones). He then competed in the Australian Golden Gloves in Brisbane. He had an excellent competition and achieved a silver in what is a large Australian competition. To gain his silver he beat the South Australian champ in the semi-final but couldn't quite beat the two time Australian champ in the final. 

Track Cycling

Flynn Cooper-Forster  competed in the Otago Track Cycling Championships. He achieved three 1st places and a second place:

Under-13 500m TT - 1st

Under-13 Scratch - 1st

Under-15 Derby - 1st 

Under-15 points race - 2nd

Swimming

Cameron Moran successfully competed across a number of events in the 2015 Otago Winters. In  the 14-15 age group he achieved the following results:
1st 100 Freestyle
1st 100 Fly
1st 400 Freestyle
2nd 400 IM
3rd 50 Back
3rd 100 Back
3rd 100 IM
4th 50 Freestyle
