Our international students recently had the opportunity to try their hand at playing pool!
These events emphasise that education extends outside the classroom and is about building communities, making memories and trying new things.
OSSSA hosts four events throughout the year designed specifically for international students across Dunedin. They help to bring together students from different schools to meet, make new friends and share their experiences of living and studying in Dunedin. They also give the students the chance to try their hand at sports and activities that they might never have experienced back home.
The latest event was held at a large local venue that contains around 30 pool tables. The students spent the afternoon playing several games of pool, learning the rules, mastering their angles and enjoying a bit of friendly rivalry.
