The Senior OMAthalon competition was held last Thursday at Logan Park High School. For the seniors, this is a “pub quiz” style mathematics competition. It can involve names of famous mathematicians, letters from the Greek alphabet, prime numbers less than 200 and general mathematical problem-solving.
The Year 11 team of Maxwell R, Tee K, Charles R, Adrian P started off well – winning the first round comfortably and then ended up placing 4th overall. A great effort since they were competing against Year 12 and 13 students.
