There was a stirring display from the boys on Wednesday as the whole school drew together for the annual Haka competition!
It's always an exciting day when there's a house competition on at McGlashan, and there's nothing quite like Haka to bring the boys together to perform as one and give it their all.
It was a tough job for judge Jen Marsh as each house and their kaea brought strong offerings of energy and enthusiasm to the quad for their performance.
Congratulations to Gilray House, who were lead to victory by kaea Glenn Ericsson. Their togetherness and attention to detail made all the difference on the day. Kā mau te wehi!
Close behind in second, well done Ross House and kaea Jayden Toro, who earned a special shoutout from Jen.
And in 3rd equal, Balmacewen and Burns. Kā mihi nui to kaea Cody Gradwell and Mikae Hapae who stepped up to lead their houses - it was a close competition and we really appreciate the effort you have put in and the mana you have cultivated with your peers as you've brought your teams together!

As for the House Points - the win by Gilray sees them pulling out in front of the other houses - at least for now! Here's wishing all our houses the best of luck for the remaining competitions - at this stage it's still anyone's game.
