McGlashan Boys have been competing in a wide variety of sports over the last two weeks
Well done to the curling team of William Loe, Jed Nevill, Jack Steele, and Harry Ryan who went through the National Secondary School Champs undefeated (6-0) to win gold!!Jed also picked up the Spirit of Curling award! A great end to an impressive season.
A great result for our get 2 go multi sport team of Dan O'Brien, Annan Goldsmith, Josh Grieve, and Lochie Ing-Aram joined forces with four girls from Columba to score 300 out of 300 in the local get 2 go competition. They will now compete in the Great Barrier Island event in mid December.
At the Port Chalmers Triathlon Hugo Beeby won the Year 7 boys individual race with Max Nation 3rd in the Year 8 race. Hamish Casey, Hugo Jury, and Toby O'Neill teamed up to win the Year 8 team event. These boys plus the Year 7 teams of JMC Wilde, JMC Boys and JMC Power Rangers, Plus Year 8 team JMC Kings have qualified for the Otago Champs next term.

Two JMC Basketball players, Edward Jennings and Otis Quelch are in the Otago U13 team who have made the semi finals of the South Island tournament in Ashburton.
At the South Island secondary schools Moto X country our boys rode well on a slippery track bringing home 4th overall. Brayden Clearwater was 10th in the competitive 85cc class, brother Lachie Clearwater was a respectable 5th in a stacked 12-15 yr old 250cc class. Paton Holmes came 13th, whilst brother Ezra Holmes cleaned up and was 1st in the 16-19yr old open class.
Jacob Struthers and Flynn McGuigan spent the first week of the holidays in Cambridge / Hamilton playing for Otago Water Polo in the NZ Water Polo U16 Nationals. From a pool of 16 teams throughout NZ, the boys came away with 8th Place.
In Rugby Harrison Stout, Henry Bowering, Liam Barron, Will Hancox, Will Kara, Brodie Ferguson, and Simon Cavangh represented Otago at the South Island U16 Rugby Tournament in Ashburton.
Congratulations to Keegan Ferguson, Jack Timu, and Josh Whaanga who made the New Zealand Maori U18 Rugby team who narrowly lost to New Zealand Schools in the quadrangular tournament, and take on the Barabarians U18 team over the weekend.

Jack Sandford, Simon Tomkins, and Harry Willis won the Naseby 12 hour youth male and secondary school Mountain Bike race.

A great result for Ian Audas, Jack Lewis, Max Simpson, Oliver Barry, William Bary, Morgan Blair and Cody Byck who finished their 4-day National U18 Ice Hockey Tournament undefeated with Dunedin Thunder and took out Gold.
