John McGlashan athletes enjoyed a successful day at the Otago Secondary Schools Athletics Championships, with several boys producing excellent performances across both track and field events.
Results:
Kane (U15) - 1st 100m, 2nd 4x100m relay
Hugo (U15) - 2nd 100m, 2nd 200m, 2nd 4x100m relay
Rupert (U15) - 1st 3000m
Harry (U15) - 2nd 4x100m relay
Noah (U15) - 2nd 4x100m relay
Theo (U16) - 2nd Shot Put, 3rd Discus
Angus (U17) - 1st Shot Put, 1st Discus, 1st Javelin
Alex (U20) - 1st 400m, 1st Shot Put, 1st Discus, 2nd 200m
One of the highlights of the day came in the U15 100m final, where Kane and Hugo were separated by just 0.02 seconds, with both boys sharing a great moment after the race.
