We're looking forward be hosting JMO theatrics' production of Shakespeare!
It's set to be an epic morning in the chapel on March 11th when Julius Caesar comes to town. We're thrilled to have JMO Theatrics putting on the production for all Drama and senior English students.
Just two actors are performing Shakespeare's most celebrated history play; a thrilling exploration of corruption and power in a divided political world.
"Julius Caesar is all-powerful after a string of military and political successes. Plans are set into motion to make Julius Caesar an Emperor... and Caesar's friends gather to discuss their fears. They hatch a plan to assassinate Caesar... who will take up Caesar's mantle? Who will retain their honour? Shall Rome stand under one man's awe?"
Check out this article in the ODT for more details on the show and it's creators Josiah Morgan and Elisa Jones, including how they managed to turn a play with more than 40 roles into one for just two actors!
The production is also being held publicly at Hanover Hall as part of the Dunedin Fringe Festival - check this link for tickets.
