Wednesday 25th February 2026

On Wednesday, all of our Year 9 and 10 boarding house boys, alongside our Year 12 and 13 boarding leaders, took part in a community service project supporting our local primary school, Māori Hill School.

Each year, the school requires truckloads of bark to be distributed around its playgrounds, which is a mammoth task for any caretaker to manage alone. Stepping up to the challenge were our keen and hardworking boarding boys, ready to lend a hand (with the added motivation of an ice block on what has been one of the hottest days of summer!).

Our senior students led by example, acting as outstanding role models and showing the younger boys how to work efficiently and with purpose. It was fantastic to see the teamwork, energy, and positive spirit on display throughout the day.

This wonderful annual tradition reflects our school value of Manaakitanga and our ongoing commitment to supporting our amazing local community.
