Our rowers headed north to Lake Karapiro for the annual Maadi Cup regatta.
We had a number of crews reach A finals at the Maadi Cup regatta held near Cambridge at Lake Karapiro with the definite highlight the gold medal won by Mark Smith and Jack Pearson in the under 15 double sculls.
Other crews in A finals were :
- Under 18 double sculls: Will Turner & Nick Chamberlain
- Under 18 novice double sculls: Mark Smith & Zach Cleaver-Donovan
- Under 17 double sculls: Will Turner & Will Edwards
- Under 18 coxless pair oars: Angus Kenny & Oscar Cochrane
Well done to all the boys who attended the regatta.
The rowers have shown great commitment to get up early and head to training six mornings a week throughout the season.
Thanks to coaches Mitchell Parks and Bryce Abernethy for their hard work during the season, and also to the supporters who travelled north to support the boys.
