Head Prefect, Angus Burns, and Deputy Head Prefects, Oscar Crowe and Serge Meeuws, have been joined by a further nine prefects to form this year's student leaders.
Edmund Ferro
Ed is a day boy and has recently completed his McGlashan Challenge, no mean feat running the entire Kepler in a single day. He is a serious academic, shows initiative and is a self-starter. Ed has high involvement in music, and athletics, and has also been active in fundraisers.
Sam Hancox
Sam comes from Owaka in the Catlins, South Otago. He is one of the head-boarders in the hostel this year. Sam is a selfless young man who is more than willing to help out as shown by him being a Yr 9 camp helper next week. Sam is also one of our top hockey players and is a hard-working academic.
Daniel O’Brien
Dan has a big involvement in hockey, rowing, music and athletics, and has given back as a hockey coach to junior teams. Dan proudly represented the college with distinction at the Nga Manu Korero last year and is another example of a senior who prioritises his academics.
Cooper Ollerenshaw
Cooper is one of the Boarding House head-boarders this year. He is a high-performing member of the senior Touch and Hockey teams. Cooper is a guy who takes responsibility in his stride and actively looks to get involved around the college and in the hostel.
Skylar Peters
Skylar is a serious academic and a hugely approachable young man. Skylar is also a very high-performing exponent in Judo. Skylar will be finishing his IB Diploma this year, which I’m sure he will have set high expectations for.
Freddie Saunders
Freddie is your current representative on the College School Board. This illustrates how he listens and considers ideas, and is willing to advocate and lead on your behalf. He is another young man who makes sure that he prioritises his studies. Freddie comes from Lumsden in Northern Southland.
Carter Robertson-Gray
Carter comes from Arrowtown. Carter is a great contributor to a range of sports, including rugby and handball. Carter is a smart and approachable young man, who is a very skilled communicator. He is the type of guy who is always willing to discuss a topic and offer up a well-considered opinion.
Liam Ross
Liam is a young man who is a great listener and can consider a range of perspectives. Liam is a focused academic student in the classroom who is also a top contributor in the first 15. Liam comes from the Oamaru area.
Eddie Scott
Eddie hails from Opoho, North Dunedin. He always represents our Kapa Haka group with real mana and spirit. Eddie is a highly focused academic who once again is very approachable and is always happy to help others out.
