Thursday 11th August 2022

Football semi finals have been held, and we also have our first division winner in this code

Well done to the Senior Reserve team (photo above) who won their final against OBHS 3-2 this week and went through the season unbeaten. Fill in goal keepers Harry Willis and Michael Buttery did amazing jobs in the final.

The 1st XI and Junior 1sts both lost their semi finals after sickness meant that some Junior boys had to step up and play for the 1st XI.

Our Curling teams both came second in their division in the local competition, with both teams losing to Bayfield High School in their respective finals.

Matheson Colquhoun competed in his first ever half marathon in Ashburton and won the U19 South Island Championships in a time of 1 hour 40 minutes.

Edgar Centre is a busy spot on Friday nights for our competitive Basketball teams. Good luck to our JMC Blue Seniors who play St Kevin's College in the Premier grade quarter finals, and the Senior A quarter finals having our JMC Red team playing Mata Au Te Awa.

In Hockey our 1st XI has already made the final against OBHS which will be on Tuesday 23rd August at 7.15pm. Our 2nd XI team has come third in Division One, a great result as they play 1st XI teams. The Under 15 A team play the  OBHS Junior Blues next week a semi final. The Under 15 B team is in the division three semi final next week. In division four the JMC Blue have secured a spot in the final on 23rd August. Good luck to all these teams

Good luck to six of our Rugby teams who have made semi finals in their divisions for this weekend. The match of the day will be our 1st XV facing Kings High School at McGlashan at 12.45pm
