Congratulations to all those students that were awarded prizes at our Junior Prizegiving.
The Prizegiving was a vibrant celebration of student achievement and the strong sense of community within the College. The event acknowledged accomplishments across academics, sport, and the arts, showcasing the impressive breadth of talent among our students. High achievers were recognised for their commitment and hard work, making the occasion both meaningful and uplifting. Performances by junior bands Amplified and Cold Beanz and a performance by the Kapa Haka added a special richness to the ceremony, creating a memorable and inspiring morning for all in attendance.
The main awards are the announcement of the top student in each year level and the best all-round student.

Year 7 - Andrew Sun
Andrew has stood out this year for his remarkable dedication and intellectual curiosity. Year 8 - Samuel Riley

Year 9 - Ollie Brown

Year 10 - Dominic Cheng
Dominic has had an exceptional year, achieving distinction in all subjects through remarkable dedication and focus. Jonty Thomson
Jonty exemplifies the values of curiosity, commitment, and all-round excellence at John McGlashan College. He excels academically, particularly in Mathematics and English. Equally impressive in sport, he has represented the College in Volleyball, Cricket, Basketball, and Cross Country. Beyond academics and sport, Jonty contributes widely to school life as an active member of the Tramping Club, a Duke of Edinburgh Award participant, and a Student Council member. His drive, initiative, and readiness to embrace challenges make him a standout student and valued member of the College community.
