Our rowers are in a good position to grow and develop with the support of Dylan and Lauren.
Dylan Davis steps up from the role as an assistant coach in 2020/2021 to be the new head coach for the upcoming 2021/2022 season. Previously Dylan rowed for the Varsity club, but this was interrupted by COVID.
Lauren Gibb is once again an assistant coach. Like Dylan, Lauren is experienced in the rowing business, with coxswain being her main area of expertise. Both Dylan and Lauren have represented New Zealand overseas at age-group levels.
Dylan is hoping that during the season all the boys reach their potential, whilst having fun, and not losing touch with why they took up the sport.
The boys will aim to peak for Maadi Cup, using the South Island Champs as a good build-up with both events at lake Ruataniwha. We are very fortunate to have them both on board again for the season.
