This week we have had loads of fun activities for the boys' to get involved with, and of course, Churros!
Kia Ora, Hallo, Hola!
This week was International Languages Week at John McGlashan College.
During Form Time on Monday, the students were given a Gimkit link to play guessing famous landmarks around the world.
At Esol and Spanish time, we learned how to say Hello and Good Morning in the 13 languages known by -or related to- the students and teacher in these classes.
During lunchtime on Wednesday, some students went to the Spanish classroom to watch Los Simpsons en Español and eat palomitas de maiz (popcorn). There were lots of laughs, which proves that it is a funny TV series in any language. Even when we don’t understand a word of it!
On Thursday, we had the much-anticipated Churros van, which is always very busy. It was the brightest thing in the whole school on such a grey, rainy day!
The closing activity of the week was the Lunchtime Library quiz on Friday. Students had the opportunity to form their own groups and have some fun while testing their knowledge about different cultures.
