'Mauger' appointment for 2021

Monday 30th November 2020

"Aaron ... has a strong connection with John McGlashan and he understands the school values from multiple angles, including the position of a Dad"

Aaron Mauger will be joining the John McGlashan Team for 2021. Aaron has been appointed to a position that will see him working with students to provide mentoring and pastoral support as well as being an integral part of the rugby programme.

His rugby responsibilities will include coaching the first XV and working closely with Deputy Principal Nigel Hunter, who has been appointed to the position Director of Rugby. Together, they will develop a schoolwide rugby programme that supports all members of the rugby community. Aaron’s experience as both a player and coach will enable him to tackle this exciting and challenging role.

Aaron will work with students to support the special character of the school. He will deliver mentoring and leadership sessions that will aid the development and growth of boys in both the college and the boarding house. Aaron’s pastoral role will include a focus on student wellbeing and connection.

The college is delighted to have Aaron on board. He has a strong connection with John McGlashan and he understands the school values from multiple angles, including the position of a Dad. Aaron brings an extensive set of skills to John McGlashan that will be used widely across the school; his appointment will add to the broad learning experiences already offered at John McGlashan College.
