As Mental Health Awareness Week draws to a close, it serves as a valuable reminder of the simple yet powerful actions we can take to support our own wellbeing and that of those around us.
The week has been a great opportunity to pause and focus on what keeps us mentally healthy. We hope to carry its important message of connection and wellbeing forward in our daily lives, both here at the College and at home.
This year's theme, "Top up Together," has been a fantastic reminder of the power of connection. It encourages us all to bring the Five Ways to Wellbeing into our daily lives by connecting with others. Whether it's a simple chat with a friend, a walk with whānau, or a shared laugh, these small moments make a big difference.
The conversation doesn't have to stop here. If you're looking for resources we encourage you to visit the official Mental Health Awareness Week website at https://mhaw.nz/. You'll find a wealth of information and daily suggestions to continue focusing on wellbeing.
We also want to take this opportunity to remind you of our very own JMC Health Hub. This is a valuable resource for our rangatahi, whānau, and kaiako, providing support and information when you need it.
You can access the JMC Health Hub here: https://www.mcglashan.school.nz/jmc-health-hub.
Let's continue to "Top up Together" and make wellbeing a priority in our school community.
Ngā mihi,
Kimberley Fridd, Wellbeing Committee
