A friendly reminder regarding the speed limit around the College to ensure the safety of our boys.
The speed limits around our school are:
Pilkington Street and all surrounding side streets are 30km per hour at all times as per the below map (orange lines)
Balmacewen Road is a variable speed area from Māori Hill School to just past John McGlashan College. This area is 30kmph on Weekday mornings from 8:00am to 9:15am and Weekday afternoons from 2:45pm to 3:45pm. A 50kmph speed limit applies at all other times.
It is important that our community adhere to the speed limits surrounding the school and ideally travel below the 30kmph speed limit on Pilkington Street, especially during busy drop off and pickup times.
