Further sporting success for John McGlashan boys


Tennis

The Tennis Otago  2015/16 Prize-giving and Player Awards was recently held at Logan Park. Congratulations to Daniel Lund and Lachie Kenneally whose contribution to Otago tennis  were both recognised at the awards:

  • Daniel Lund - Most Improved Boy
  • Lachie Kenneally - 16s Boys Player of the Year
  • Lachie Kenneally: Overall Boys Player of the Year (shared with Ayoub Ahmad)
  • Lachie Kenneally was also part of the Senior Men's Team that finished 2nd at the regional tournament that took across Dunedin and Oamaru.

Fencing

Louis Jennings recently competed in the U17 National Fencing Championships and finished 1st in the U17 Men's Epée (making him national champion) and 5th in the U17 Foil.

Futsal

Congratulations to the following McGlashan Futsal teams. All five of these teams had a top three placing in their division in the Term 1 School Competition.

Table Tennis

Martin Page gained a silver medal in the recent South Island Table Tennis tournament. He competed in the Under 15 doubles, with partner Long Nguyen.
