Half a metre of fresh powder and clear blue skies – need I say more?

Thursday 18th August 2016

The Year 12 PE camp was an exhilarating success with some great snow dumps which we got stuck into. The class skied and snow-boarded at Treble Cone for three days early in term three while staying in the outstanding Glendhu Bay Camp.

All boys had lessons and NCEA assessments while working on their skiing and boarding technique. The varied and challenging terrain at Treble Cone provided a fantastic environment for everyone from the beginner to the advanced skier/boarder.

A number of boys stood out with impressive attempts at 360’s, Jimmy Sinclair taking the prize for the 360 that did not look anything like a 360! A few of the first time skiers and snow-boarders showed outstanding grit and skill development to gain achieved grades. I am sure that for many this has wetted the appetite for more.
