Students in Recent Senior Science Extension Opportunities

Wednesday 29th April 2015

Nic Taylor, Edward Bercinskas-Gauld and Fraser Reynolds have been expanding their scientific knowledge.

Recently Nic Taylor and Edward Bercinskas-Gauld won places to attend training camps for the international chemistry and biology Olympiads respectively. They took part in many engaging and challenging tasks with students from across the country at their training camps based at North Island university campuses.

In the NZ brain bee competition revolving around neuroscience Fraser Reynolds has completed a selection exam and won a place to attend a camp in Dunedin. This serves as the basis for selection to the Australasian finals. Opportunities such as these are continually coming up – information is communicated via science teachers and the daily notices.
