Harper Milne and Reid Penwarden, Year 12 student directors, have accomplished a commendable feat worth celebrating.
Seven Yr11 and 12 drama students had a very full on day of Shakespeare at the King's and Queen's Performing Arts Centre in week 10. There were 21 different performances from 11 different schools from around Otago. This annual event highlights the timeless appeal of the Bard's creations, even in modern times. Shakespeare's ability to resonate with audiences across generations underscores his lasting impact on literature and culture.
Our 5-min student directed piece from Henry V, was one of the 8 pieces selected for the evening showcase and was very well received by all. Student Directors, Harper and Reid, also took away an award for Student Direction.
