On Wednesday the Otago Science Teachers’ Association annual Year 10 Science Quiz took place at Bayfield High School.
A team consisting of Aathur Talahma, Charles Reid, Ryan Zhou and Lachlan Russell represented John McGlashan College. Going into the final round of Earth and space science questions they were trailing the leading teams. They were the only team to record a double-digit score in that round and ended up winning the quiz by one point. The quiz has been running since 2004 and this was the first time that JMC has won – a real credit to the boys involved!
