McGlashan Waterskiing team win the Otago/Southland Champs for the 8th year in a row.
The Otago/Southland secondary schools' slalom waterski champs were held last weekend. Charlie Light skied the best score the tournament has ever seen in the 15 years they have run it with 3.5 on a 14m rope @58km/hr. It was also good to see so many new boys joining in this year. It is the 8th year in a row JMC has won the school trophy. 10 of the boys competed, and 6 of them received placings in their grades, Charlie Light 1st Champ boys U16, Max Simpson 2nd in novice boys u18, Jonty Riley 1st in novice boys U16, James Kinney 2nd, Bede O'Connell 3rd. Harry McDonald 1st novice boys U13.
