The second launch seminar will be held on Friday 18 August, at 3:30pm in Room 205 (ELC).
We know that some students and parents were unable to make the first seminar. We would love you to come if you have an interested student.
We are hoping to get the Vietnam history trip back up and running now that the pandemic is winding down. We are launching the trip in August 2023, and intend to travel in the September holidays of 2024.
This trip is for Year 12 and Year 13 students taking history, either NCEA or IB, in 2024. If a student is not taking history in 2023, but is going to take it in 2024, they will be eligible to come on the trip. A trip to Vietnam should not be the only reason for choosing a subject though!
We intend to travel from Northern Vietnam to Southern Vietnam, focusing on sites of historical significance.
Andrew Morrison and I have been on two previous trips to Vietnam, in 2016 and 2018, and know how valuable and enjoyable it has been for previous students.
We will be asking for expressions of interest in September in order to gauge whether the trip is viable.
