Attendance procedures
General Absences:
If you know that your son is going to be absent from school, please call the school office or email: absences@mcglashan.school.nz so we know in advance. If this is on the day, please make contact before 8:30am. If your son is leaving school before 3:15pm please email the school with the details of the absence.
Lateness:
If your son is going to be late for school for any reason, please notify the school office before 8.30am.
Signing out when unwell:
Students who feel unwell need to report to the office first. The office staff will then assess and contact the parents if and when required.
Appointments:
Please contact the office if your son has to leave for an appointment during the day so that this can be noted on the absences.
College Fete
Save the Date! The College Fete is happening on September 11. It will be another amazing event bringing our school community together. The students benefit directly from the proceeds of this event.
Remember the upcoming non-uniform days for the Fete Raffles and the Chocolate Wheel:
Friday, August 6 - non-perishable Grocery items
Friday, August 20 - Tombola items
Friday, September 3 - Chocolate

Open Night and Open Afternoon
August 3 is our open night from 7pm-9pm.
August 4 is open afternoon from 2pm-3:30pm.
On both occasions the school will operate a normal six lesson day. Some students will be involved in displays and guiding groups of prospective students and parents.
Teacher only day
The College will be shut for a teacher only day on August 16.
Plunket Raffle
The Association of Boys’ Schools of NZ is fundraising for the Plunket Foundation. Tickets for the "Boys Helping Mums" nationwide raffle can be purchased from the school office.
