Recently the Year 7 and 8 classes have been working on their prepared reading programme. This requires students to focus on delivering an extract from a book
with confidence, tone and expression.
This year there were three different extracts students could choose from, these were from ‘Wonder’ by R.J.Palacio, ‘George’s Marvellous Medicine’ by Roald Dahl and ‘The Red Pyramid’ by Rick Riordan.
From every class two finalists were selected, and then these students participated in the final round of the competition. The judge this year was Mr Richard Davison, a freelance reporter and member of Toastmasters.
The final results were as follows:
3 rd equal: Toby Wafer (7Aho) and William Tong (8Mru)
2 nd : Sheon Luxmanan (7Aho)
1 st : Alex Wilson (8Adu)
