IB Diploma Top Scholars foot it with NZ's elite.

Monday 27th February 2017

Students from around NZ who gained 40+ points in last years IB Diploma examinations were recently invited to Government House in Auckland to receive Top Scholar's awards from the Governor General.

The 2016 graduating cohort of IB Diploma students was one of the largest the college has had in its 18 year history of offering this prestigious qualification.  It was also one of the most successful.

Students gain the Diploma if they reach a total of 24 points out of the maximum possible total of 45.  McGlashan students gained an average of 32 points, significantly higher than the world average.

As people have become increasingly  informed of what the Diploma entails and its benefits, the programme has continued to grow.  The current Yr 12 group beginning this year totals 24, the largest group yet.

Students and parents who wish to learn more about the Diploma can contact Mr Knopp (IB Coordinator) or attend the information evening that will be held during Term 2.
