In April 2015 John McGlashan launched the GATEWAY PROGRAMME, which is designed to aid Y12 and 13 students in their transition from school to work or into further training.
The Gateway Programme provides senior students with the experience of being out in the workforce and gives them the opportunity to try a career while still supporting them with their NCEA qualifications.
This year nineteen Y12 and 13 students have been involved in the programme experiencing industries such as personal training, journalism and building and construction.
The school receives funding for 21 senior students to be part of this exciting programme. Therefore, students must formally apply to secure their place. Further information and application forms for the GATEWAY programme can be found under "Academic" - "Careers Information" on the school's website.
