Started with a hiss and a roar and it ended with Jaquan breaking a fence.

Year 12 PE Ski Camp

Stunning blue sky days made up for some icy conditions at Cardrona where Year 12 PE students were put through their skiing and boarding paces. Boys had a good mixture of skiing and boarding abilities and had two and a half days to hone this before they completed an NCEA practical assessment. This year there were a number of first timers who worked hard and did particularly well in developing their skills and gaining achieved grades and even a few merits!

Amongst all this some boys showed skill and quite an amount of courage to tackle some of the big air jumps. While this was largely successful there were the odd boy who found gravity’s affect before they had intended it – Gabe!

Boys cooked in groups and dished up some culinary masterpieces (great venison and steak Henry and Scott!) while others settled on the tried and trusted frozen pizza.

A very successful trip with thanks to Mr McDonald and Mr Webster for their help and assistance.
