We had a number of boys participating in local or national training camps, plus competitions over the holidays.
Congratulations to Touch player Alex Piebenga who has been selected in the New Zealand U16 Touch team who will play in a domestic tournament in the next set of holidays.
We had 11 McGlashan boys in the Otgao U18 Hockey team which came 4th at the National U18 provincial tournament over the holidays. This is a great result as our 1st XI looks forward to the upcoming Rankin Cup.
Our U15 Hockey boys played well in the Tanner Cup which was held in Hamilton, only just losing to eventual winners King's College 2-3. The boys had 4 wins, 2 draws, and 2 losses.
Well done to Flynn McGuigan who played in the Otago Water Polo U18 team at the New Zealand Divisional 1 championships.
Brothers Josh and Dan Grieve both rode in the South Island Cycling road race and time trial in Christchurch.

We had a number of Rugby boys attend Metro/ Country, and Highlanders training camps over the holidays, and Jack Timu and Ben Joseph both attended the New Zealand U18 Maori training camp/trial in Rotorua.
On the last Saturday of the holidays, Phoenix Abbott was the lone try scorer in a close battle of the 1st XVs between McGlashan and Southland Boys' with us eventually winning 10-3.
With the weather causing havoc for outside codes at the start of the term, let's hope that we get some teams out over the weekend and into week two.
