It is with regret that the management of the Senior Rugby Squad have cancelled the upcoming tour in April to Samoa.
It
came to our attention that the mosquito born virus
“Chikungunya” has affected mainland Samoa since November.
The majority felt it unwise to proceed due to the difficulties the
team would encounter in relation to the virus.
We would like to thank all those who put time and effort or made donations towards the fundraising. In particular, we would like to thank Dan O’Regan at Future Creative for all his wonderful design work.
The squad is now looking forward to an Easter tournament at Christchurch Boys High. There will be 4 games over 3 days and will give the coaching staff a good look at the players as they move towards 1st XV selection.
