Last weekend our music students took part in a performance programme for NZ Music Month run by Toitū Otago Settlers Museum.
They performed a wide range of music, from Kiwi classics and international hits through to their own original pieces. From our seniors, we had Nic George, James Palmer and Theo Hannagan perform as their group 'SùeChef', with Harold Gao and Gary Yao both performing as solo pianists. From our juniors, we had Lochlan Ing-Aram and Daniel O'Brien performing as a duo, and Chris Body performing as a multi-instrument soloist.
This programme is going to become an ongoing part of Toitū's calendar, with performances each term from music students around Dunedin. Thanks to Chris Watts at Toitū for his mahi to facilitate this awesome opportunity for our boys, and well done to all of the boys who performed for your hard work in preparing and high standard of performance.
Many of these JMC boys will be performing at Rockquest next month - keep an eye out for further info and ticket sales to come.
